The Peninsula Dental School is the UK's first new dental school for 40 years. Funded from an investment award by the European Convergence Programme managed by South West Regional Development Agency it houses a state-of-the-art dental education facility.

Built alongside the Knowledge Spa at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, home to the Peninsula Medical School and Faculty of Health and Social Work, the Dental School includes 32 dental chairs arranged in groups of eight for training purposes, four single surgeries for individual requirements, and research and office provision.

Interserve worked closely with the Trust to ensure that the project ran as smoothly as possible to ensure that the facilities opened on time for the September intake of students.

As part of this process the team maintained and regularly reviewed a 'Lessons Learnt Log' in order to draw on experiences and benefit future developments for the Trust, including a Sexual Health Hub, Small and Minor Works schemes.
