Big picture

In order for our large and diverse workforce to feel part of our Vision, to focus on our Goals and endorse our Values it is important that we do what we can to help them understand Interserve and what it stands for. We launched a major employee communications initiative in 2008 entitled "The Big Picture". The Big Picture provides answers to the questions that people often have about the organisation such as:

Who are we?	Where do we come from?	What do we do?	Where are we going?	What do we stand for?

It has been designed, with the input of our senior managers, to educate and inspire our people. The aim is that all current employees and new recruits take part in a Big Picture session in which they engage in a dialogue examining the questions above. For this purpose we have created a Big Picture pack which, in addition to the picture itself, contains a series of information cards, an outline script and some other material. Senior managers received packs in the middle of 2008. They held sessions with the people reporting directly to them and since then these sessions have been cascaded throughout the organisation - in addition to forming part of everybody's induction to the Group.
